Audi flaunts its new Q3 Sportback SUV, swaged up in the maker’s newly adopted attire that’s currently setting unprecedented trends in the recently introduced Q8 luxury SUV.
New exterior styling cues emanate from the new three-dimensional singleframe grille that comes in a glossy finish, revised front and rear lights, front and bumper with trapezoidal air inlets and flat blade, whilst its coupe-like stance has been complimented by the 3cm lowered roofline with a masculine posture further emphasised by the new large wheel design.
The spacious cabin affords enough room for 5 adults seated comfortably, an adjustable loading floor whilst an optional electrically adjustable tailgate with foot motion function adds more convenience. Optional features also extend to the electrically adjustable and heated front seats and depending on trim line, sport seats with contrast stitching and colored stripes along the side panels add to the timeless interior design of the Q3 Sportback. Alcantara surfaces on the instrument panel and the armrests, a 10.25-inch screen diagonal, multifunction steering wheel and a 10.1inch instrument panel display complete the standard convenience offering.
Customers will have the luxury to choose between two powertrains, these include a range topping 169kW 2.0TFSI 4-cylinder engine and a 110kW 2.0litre TDI powerplant. The maker has confirmed more engine variety to be introduced later in the year. Both units send drive to all 4-wheels via a standard 7-speed s Tronic transmission.
The new Audi Q3 Sportback has been confirmed for a Mzansi introduction in the third quarter of 2020, with pricing and specifications confirmed closer to launch dates. Stay tuned.
