Opel is back on the MPV and people-mover squabble, as it introduces two of its new players in the game – meet the new Zafira Life MPV and Opel Combo Life people-mover.
Lets dwell within the new Opel Combo Life people-mover model. Its exterior design has stayed true to the Opel family, with the front benefitting from a more familiar look within the Opel range. These styling cues include halogen headlamps with Automatic On/Off Headlamp Control, body Colour Front & Rear Bumpers, outside Door Handles & Side Mirror Housing, sliding Door with Tiltable Window at the rear-left, whilst a fixed window is available on the rear right hand side. Protective Side-Moulding is also available as standard with the tailgate benefitting from a window as well.
The Opel Zafira Life MPV has been aimed at appealing to a broad audience, thanks to its versatile interior set up that caters for leisure, business or adventure. Whilst more details on the Zafira Life MPV are to be confirmed closer to its official introduction in Mzansi as of the first quarter of 2020, the Combo Life however will boast enough room for 5-people, with foldable seats allowing for additional versatility.
Convenience features include an IntelliLink Infotainment System with a 7” Touchscreen & Smartphone Projection. A 6-speaker sound system keeps the cabin mood in check. 6-airbags, Hill-Start Assist and Traction Control are a few of the long list of available safety features.
Power comes from a 68kW/230Nm 1.6litre turbodiesel engine that sends shove to the front wheels via a standard 5-speed manual transmission. Also to note is the Combo Life’s towing capacity (kg) Braked/Unbraked of 1 100 / 720. Fuel consumption is rated at 5l/100km.
