Land Rover South Africa has confirmed a limited run of only 24 Range Rover Sport special edition models that have been specifically designed for Mzansi.
The special edition Range Rover Sport has been confirmed to only be available in HSE Dynamic guise, with a special Black styling package affording a unique look to the exterior design. the black Pack affords the special edition model with blacked out bonnet and tailgate lettering, grille mesh and inner grille surround, and finishing blades on the fenders and bonnet vents. The package also includes upsized 22” alloys finished in Gloss Black. The Range Rover’s roof also comes in contrast black.
Further black accents can be found inside where the headliner is wrapped in Ebony Morzine trim and seats are upholstered in Ebony Winsor Leather. Front seats are heated and cooled, and a pair of 8” display screens caters for rear passenger infotainment, whilst the configurable Ambient Interior Lighting sums up the offering.
In addition to the black trimmings, the special Sport features a Drive Pro Pack with Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, High-speed Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist. A 360 degree Surround Camera uses four cameras to provide an overhead view of the vehicle, with capacity to display several different views at the same time to aid in parking in tight spaces.
Bellowing beneath the bonnet is a 386kW/625Nm 5.0 V8 Supercharged engine with that delivers the 0-100km/h sprint in 5.3sec before climbing onto a top speed of 250km/h. power is shifted to all 4-wheels via a standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
The limited edition price has been confirmed to start from R1 992 500 including Land Rover’s standard 5-year/100 000km maintenance plan and warranty.
