Late 2018 Audi unveiled a facelift TT range and now the TTS has received the same treatment. Enhanced sexy looks and now with even better performance, whats not to love here.

As part of Audis S model, the new TTS uses sporty design details to highlight its status as the top model of the TT family from Audi. Elements in a matt aluminum silver look shine in the Singleframe grille with a TTS badge, the matt titanium black insert and a new horizontal blade in the bumper creating a striking frontal appearance. The full-length front splitter, the vertical air inlets and the trim strips also feature an aluminum look. The side gets powerfully contoured sills for that sexy sporty character which flows well with the Coupe slopping roofline.  TTS comes with wheels of sizes 18 and 19 inches as well as exclusive 20-inch wheels from Audi Sport are optionally available. The hinted vertical air outlets below the rear lights and the broadened diffuser with the four tailpipes of the exhaust system are particular highlights at the rear.

The interior retains the minimalist, functional layout as seen on face-lifted TT models with the Virtual Cockpit taking pride of place in front of the driver. The Coupe TTS is a 4 seater whilst the Roadster (due to low sales the Roadster hasn’t been available thus far and its unlikely this will change) is a strict 2 seater.

Leather options also include a hint to the first TT model with “Baseball Glove” like treatement for a very eye-catchy and stylish look.

Powering the TTS is a 2.0 TFSI 4-cylinder motor credited with 225kW/400Nm (20Nm up on its predecessor). Allied to Audis Quattro all-wheel-drive system, the Coupe sprints from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.5 seconds topping a limited 250km/h. Audi claims 7.1l/100km. The Quattro drivetrain is linked to a 7 speed S-tronic dual clutch gearbox. The Audi magnetic ride controlled shock absorber system comes standard. Other suspension modules include progressive steering, four-link rear suspension and Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC).

There is also a TTS competition special model thats adds sporty touches—with LED headlights, Audi rings laminated on the side sills, privacy glazing on the Coupé, a fixed rear wing, brake calipers painted red, 20-inch wheels in high-gloss black and other exterior details in gloss black. Glacier white, tango red and mythos black are available for the exterior paint finish.

The TTS will definitely be made available in Mzansi with the revised TT range. Coupe only models are likely for local sales due to slow sales for the Roadster (above).
