Engine and Performance
The CLE Coupé sets new standards in efficiency and performance, featuring four-cylinder units from the current modular Mercedes-Benz engine family. Available power options include the CLE 200 and the more performance-focused CLE 300 with standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive. The CLE 200 Produces 150 kW/320 Nm, with a 0-100 km/h time of 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h and the CLE 300 4Matic Produces 190 kW/400 Nm, with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
Both engines feature a second-generation integrated starter generator (ISG) and a 48-volt vehicle electrical system, providing support in the low-speed range and ensuring excellent power development. The start-stop function and transition from coasting to propulsion are nearly imperceptible, thanks to the intelligent interaction of the ISG with the combustion engine. A new battery increases the power of the electric motor from 15 to 17 kW, with a boost torque of 205 Nm.
