As Tata prepares to launch and begin sales in September they have started a very important roll-out to notify the South African market of jus how much their products will cost and latest to have a pricing is the quirky Tata Punch.

For classification, the Punch is a compact SUV that looks to take on the likes of the popular Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite just to name drop. The Punch looks to knock out the competition with strategic pricing, class leading safety and most of all good looks.

The exterior is one that will be unmissable as it features lower mounted projector headlamps that are separate from the above placed LED DRLs which sit on either side of Tata’s signature humanity line on the grille, giving the car a style layout that has become more prominent in the motor industry across various brands.

The side profile is slightly raised and features wheel arch cladding and protective cladding on the doors, roof rails and a shark fin antenna. The rear has round shape taillights that feature Y-shaped Led signatures and this is accompanied by "Punch" branding to show those behind you what it is that you are driving.

The interior is set to be a roomy and comfortable space for all occupants who will be afforded creature comforts like over 25 utility spaces, wireless charging, a fast C-type port and a cooled glove box on certain derivatives. The dashboard features either a 7-inch infotainment screen by Harman or a floating 10.25-inch Infotainment system whilst your playlist will be pumping through four speakers and two tweeters via your standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

All derivatives safety is taken care of by ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control,  rear parking sensor, rain sensing wipers, auto headlamps, push button start, Dual Airbags and an Electronic Stability Program amongst other features, which earned the Punch a five-star Global NCAP rating.

The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron, three-cylinder engine with 65kW and 115Nm. It ill be available with both a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed Automated Manual Transmission.

Five derivatives of the Tata Punch will be available, all offering a claimed "high-level of standard specification."
