The Hyundai Venue has been a good seller for the brand locally and has gained quite the following. The car recently received a mild update for the year 2022 , which was well received. Now, though, there is a new generation that was revealed at an auto show in India, and it is on its way here.

The car gets a new fascia setup that resembles the one seen on the latest Palisade, featuring new front bumpers, new LED daytime running lights, and headlights (split position with DRLs on top and headlights below), and a fresh new big grille on the front.

The side profile measures 3,995 mm and gains a little length in wheelbase at 2,520 mm, which is 20 mm more than the previous generation. What can also be seen here are the new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheel design and some sharp creases/bolstering to give it a more sculpted appearance. The Venue will be available in 8 color options, which are Hazel Blue, Mystic Sapphire, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Dragon Red, Abyss Black, Hazel Blue with an Abyss Black roof, and Atlas White with an Abyss Black roof. Hazel Blue, Mystic Sapphire, Atlas White, Titan Grey, Dragon Red, Abyss Black, Hazel Blue with an Abyss Black roof, and Atlas White with an Abyss Black roof.

The rear is changed drastically, as it takes on an LED light bar that has "VENUE" lettering on top to let one know what is in front of them.

Interior space also gets a well-deserved update that sports Hyundai's now frequent dual-screen setup comprising an infotainment screen and a driver's display. There is a new multi-functional steering wheel that does away with the Hyundai logo in exchange for dots that write out the letter "H" for... Hyundai, you guessed it.

The interior appears to be color- coded according to the India launch specifications, and it will be interesting to see whether that option is available here in Mzansi. Some additional interior features and goodies will include Level 2 ADAS, ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, over-the-air updates, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as per Carwale.

In terms of power, the car is said to retain most of its already standing powertrains, like the 1.2L petrol 4-cylinder engine that has 61 kW and 115 Nm, which drives the front wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox . The second option is said to be a 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder that outputs 88 kW with 172 Nm, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. There is a third option currently available in India, which is a 1.5L diesel engine, and we hope it will find its way to our shores.

The current Hyundai Venue is priced at R329, 900 and tops out at R419 ,900. Having been one of the brand's more popular offerings, it has also become versatile, as Hyundai entered the half-ton segment and presented us with a Hyundai Venue cargo van for all your delivery needs and services.
