The British stable, Aston Martin, has revealed a new variant of their potent sport-oriented performance SUV that looks to target another part of their client base - the luxury space. The adaptation of the DBX GT is said to offer a more balanced blend of sporty meets luxury from a styling perspective, but without losing the vehicle's nature when you want to push it.

Aston Martin CEO, Adrian Hallmark said: “DBX GT is aimed at customers who prefer assured elegance over sporting aggression and demand a higher degree of luxury. By refining the visual drama and elevating the interior with new elements of craftsmanship, the DBX GT delivers a true ultra-luxury experience; one which comes with no sacrifice in performance.”

The exterior of the DBX GT gains a more understated styling

Usually, the DBX is a bonny vehicle in its nature that features wide proportions and a more sporty-themed styling. However, with the DBX GT, things have been toned down a notch to give it a more conventional SUV look. Normal doesn't mean bland, though ; this is still a luxury yacht-like SUV, so it needs to look the part. This means the signature double-vaned grille and side venting are now available in a chrome bright or dark gloss black finish.

The side profile also eliminates the usually extended exposed carbon fiber skirts, and changes have even been made to the side strake, which now has a polished and satin dual finish. Since there is a firm focus on everyday driving comfort over lap times, Aston has wrapped the new 22-inch Satin Titanium diamond-forged wheel in an all-season tire as standard, which should eradicate a harsh ride while keeping a quieter cabin since they reduce road noise.

The rear also gains a more tame design and layout lower down , where the DBX debuts GT-specific new quad exhausts that are finished in a chrome hue. Furthermore, it is important to note that all GT models will have the lower front bumper, sills, and rear diffuser painted to match the body color as standard.

Aston Martin EVP & Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman said: “Aston Martin is uniquely placed to combine ultra-luxury and performance. All our cars combine both, but each car finds a different balance, both visually and dynamically. With DBX GT we have taken a more discreet approach. One which downplays its outright performance and instead exudes a quiet charisma. Elegantly understated, yet safe in the knowledge it possesses the same performance and class-leading dynamics expected of a DBX.”

The interior hadn't lacked but Aston has managed to enhance the cabin

The first most notable enhancement experienced in the interior is seating comfort, where the DBX generally prioritizes keeping the driver in one snug position to battle the Gs at high speeds. The GT has 10mm thicker enhanced cushioning, redefined bolstering, and redesigned seat comfort dynamics made especially to ensure maximum support and everyday usability.

The DBX GT also introduces a new individual captain's chair rear seat layout, all covered in your choice of GT-specific monotone, duotone, and tritone upholstery color combinations. The seats themselves integrate intricate panels of quilting and perforation, plus complex embroidery stitching in a unique pattern.

Whilst the dashboard remains largely unchanged with its large 12.3-inch TFT digital driver display and 10.25-inch central touchscreen, the British automaker made some signature adaptations to the materials used on the switchgear lower down the center console of the vehicle.

The drive mode selector dial has received an anodized metal bezel, with the secondary switchgear also experiencing a jewelry-like quality finish.

In a bid to ensure that the cabin is silent, Aston Martin has fitted more sound-deadening materials in the door panels, front and rear wheel arch zones, and the rear load space. Additionally, they have gone as far as to add acoustic laminated rear side glass to thoroughly enjoy the Bowers & Wilkins audio system available in the DBX GT.

Power!

Under the bonnet of the car, Aston Martin has retained the 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine with turbocharger technology carried over from the the mid-engine Valhalla supercar. The engine outputs 534kW and 900Nm which is capable of achieving a 0-60mph time in just 3.1 seconds and top speed remains at an impressive 310 km/h.

For those who will still engage in a more spirited drive with the DBX GT, the car has a faster steering ratio, a unique suite of suspension enhancements, and a progressive throttle mapping, all of which are tools adapted from the more performance-oriented DBX S. These features noticeably improve agility, making the car feel even more sporting and responsive when required.

First deliveries of the new DBX GT are scheduled to begin in Q4 2026.
