BMW pays tribute to three and a half decades of its M5 being labelled as one of the best within the high-performance sedans.
Paying such a monumental tribute resulted in BMW developing a limited edition model – the BMW M5 Edition 35 Years, which has been confirmed to be limited to only 350 units. Forming the basis of this commemoration was the BMW M5 Competition, which has been already classified as a fully-fledged high-performance sedan. Technical and mechanical configurations of the BMW M5 Edition 35 Years model remain untouched from the M5 Competition’s setup, meaning the limited edition model benefits from the same 460kW/750Nm V8 TwinPower Turbo engine that sends drive to the all-wheel drive system M xDrive with the Active M Differential in the rear axle transmission.
Exclusively developed exterior design features on the BMW M5 Edition 35 Years include Frozen Dark Grey metallic paint finish, newly designed 20inch M light alloy wheels in Y spoke design, high gloss black finished brake callipers. Optional features include gold finished brake callipers.
The interior benefits from M multifunction seats and the BMW Individual Merino full leather trim in black with beige contrast seams, trim finishers in aluminium carbon structure gold anodized -visible on the door trim sections and the centre console. Door sill finishers bearing the inscription “M5 Edition 35 Jahre” and a lasing engraving with the inscription “M5 Edition 35 Jahre 1/350” on the cupholder cover in the centre console are further distinguishing marks of the Edition vehicles.
