The highly anticipated BMW M5 Touring has arrived in South Africa! Pairing everyday useability with added adrenaline, the high-performance BMW M5 Touring impresses with its monolithic design and muscular body styling. Similarly, the interior features a driver focussed cabin with M specific displays echoing a race car atmosphere.

The last M5 Touring was the legend e63 M5 with a screaming V10, proved a hit back in 2007 and now we back to the “Gud ol days”.

The BMW M5 Touring shares its BMW M HYBRID V8 powertrain with the proven BMW M5 sedan meaning a combination of the 4.4 TwinTurbo V8 engine mated to a BMW eDrive motor to generate a system output of 535 kW and 1,000 Nm of torque. The electric system provides an all-electric range up to 70 km (WLTP) for the added benefit of local emission-free mobility.

Other performance highlights include M Drive Professional, which features Boost Control, M Laptimer and Track View, the M Drivers Package for a top speed of 305 km/h, and the M sport exhaust system. The Touring derivative rolls on M5-specific mixed 20- and 21-inch wheels and tyres.

In South Africa, BMW M5 Touring owners can look forward to the newly designed M leather steering wheel and M multifunction seats as part of a comprehensive standard specification offer.  M carbon mirror caps, Panorama Glass Roof and rear sunblinds are standard additions compared with the Sedan.

The only options on offer are the deletion of the model designation, a trailer tow hitch, M Carbon brakes and brake callipers finished in high gloss black.

Ten exterior colours, including the M5 range’s exclusive Isle of Man Green and Marina Bay Blue, and Storm Bay and Frozen Deep Grey from the BMW Individual palette, are offered. The cabin receives six upholstery possibilities and the option of either M Carbon Fibre or BMW Individual Fineline Dark Oak interior trims.

The recommended retail price for the BMW M5 Touring, including VAT and Motorplan, is R2,795,000.00.
