Nissan Mzansi reiterated its dedication towards adventure and performance by organizing a captivating version of the Nissan Spirit of Africa Challenge for the media.

Nissan joined forces with Spirit of Africa, a vibrant African enterprise marking its 19th anniversary this year, to showcase the modern technologies and advanced capabilities the Nissan Navara bakkie has to offer.

“We are proud of the turnout for the first edition of Nissan’s Spirit of Africa, which saw drivers contest to secure their spot in the finals. Through all the dust, terrain, sport and navigation Nissan is excited to see what our motoring associates can do behind the wheel of the rugged an redefined Nissan Navara,” said Stefan Haasbroek, Nissan Africa Chief Marketing Manager Director.

The first Nissan Spirit of Africa Challenge saw the participation of more than 300 teams, with the challenge concluding on 5th June. The finals of the challenge seem to be eagerly awaited and have been scheduled to occur from 13th to 16th July.

We, being part of the media, faced various speedy and technical obstacles. These challenges not only helped us to thoroughly experience the Navara's off-road prowess’s, but also aided in comprehending the practical ways to tackle diverse terrains. Additionally, we gained insight into how the Navara has made off-roading easier using advanced technology.

Nissan has also launched the Nissan Adventure Club which aims to emphasize the thrill of off-road expeditions by providing valuable defensive driving lessons to Nissan vehicle owners. The program also enables them to examine the features and capacities of their cars by putting them through challenging conditions on an off-road trail.

You can watch all the previous rounds of Spirit of Africa on Nissan South Africa's YouTube channel and the final episode will be aired one week after the competition has ended.
