The Ford Ranger is set to get a limited-edition treatment specifically to the XLT in the model range which will sport a new exclusive color that is not available on any other model in their lineup locally.

Chill Grey, this is the exclusive paintwork worth 58 thousand grand that the limited-edition Ranger XLT will be equipped with. It will be limited to just 250 units, but a fancy paint job is not all because the Blue Oval team also says that this XLT will gain various traits inside and out exclusive to the limited-edition models.
The bespoke Ranger XLT features a sports bar, black side mirrors and door handles. The wheels will hug 17-inch alloy sport wheels fitted with All-Terrain tyres and some very handy underbody protection because this is a Ranger’ and that means toughness and off-road capability are standard qualities.

Inside the cabin, the limited-edition model features leather seats, a leather steering wheel, and a leather gear knob while wireless charging remains on call for when you need some juice for your phone. Accessory switches are also included, allowing customers to integrate additional equipment to suit their lifestyle and tailor the vehicle to their needs.
Safety is never compromised so you should know the XLT comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies. These include Collision Mitigation, Post Impact Braking, Lane Keep Assist, and Blind Spot Monitoring, all designed to enhance driver confidence and occupant protection across a wide range of driving conditions.

A brief history of this new exclusive takes us back to when it was first introduced In 2023 when Ford invested in an innovative new skid cleaning facility for its advanced Paint Shop, supported by a comprehensive range of technology and system upgrades across the facility.
That advancement ensured that Ford went on to achieve such honours of being the first fully automated facility of its kind in the Ford world. The robotic skid cleaning cell uses extremely high water pressure of 2 500 bar to remove built-up paint residue from the vehicle skids that carry vehicles through the painting process. This ensures consistent docking and accurate positioning of the body and loadbox on the skid, enabling optimal and repeatable paint application.

Since the introduction of the skid cleaning facility, the amount of dirt, residue, and contaminants entering the Paint Shop have been significantly reduced, resulting in improved paint quality and enhanced First Time Through (“FTT”) performance. The skid cleaning facility improved the operations of the newly upgraded Paint Shop which meant that the production of this new Chill Grey was a possibility that previously wouldn't have made it.
