GAC Motor proudly co-sponsored a high-impact charity touch rugby event in Cape Town to raise funds for a good cause by supporting 8-year-old Atarah Goodheart’s journey into the Real Madrid Foundation Educational Football Programme and her boarding at Generation Schools Imhoff.
The event saw the likes of South African sporting royalty, rugby legends, and notable names including Paul Delport, Rudy Paige, Morgan Newman, Siv Ngesi, Juan Leon de Jongh, Ricardo Duarttee, Jevron Epstein, and Carlos Spencer, who all took to the field for a spirited celebrity exhibition touch rugby match that drew crowds, all brought together by the love of sports.
The day was not just festivities; the main objective was to help raise funds for Atarah. At just eight years old, Atarah has already distinguished herself on the pitch as the only girl in her club’s U8 A-team while also doing very well in her studies.
“Sport has the unique power to change lives, and this event was proof of that,” said Bianca Naude, representing GAC Motor. “Being able to support Atarah’s journey through such a memorable and meaningful event is something we are extremely proud of.”

The funds raised at the event, combined with generous contributions from Kensio House, made it possible to fully sponsor Atarah’s education and boarding, ensuring she has the platform to achieve her dreams.
