The fully electrified iCAUR brand is set to launch locally in May, with their V23 being the first car offered locally, followed by the bigger V27 later. With the launch imminent, iCAUR has decided to reveal the lineup of the V23 and the quirky features it will be available with from launch.

V23 owners will have the option of choosing between two model derivatives which are mainly in either two wheel drive or four wheel drive configuration. The 2WD is going to be equipped with a 60 kWh battery and a single electric motor located on the rear wheels. The AWD variant is set to feature a larger 82 kWh battery pack in a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup, with power, torque, and range estimates to be communicated closer to the launch date.

When connected to a DC fast charger, the 2WD is said to charge from 20% to 80% in 36 minutes, while the 4WD completes the same charge in just over 40 minutes (Full range to confirmed closer to launch timing). The V23 uses disc brakes for stopping, with ventilated discs at the front. The cars suspension consists of MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear setup. 2WD models ride on 19-inch wheels fitted with 255/55 tyres, while the AWD gains 21-inch wheels wrapped in 265/45 R21 rubber.

Inside, buyers can choose from three interior colour options which are mainly Black, White and Green color. Both derivatives come standard with niceties such as leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats, a seven-speaker sound system, and a 15.4-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety isn't compromised, as the V23 will come equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ESP, and traction control across the range. The AWD, being the top of the range option, should add a suite of driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and forward collision warning. The 2WD, meanwhile, is equipped with cruise control and a reverse camera.

“The V23 represents an important step for the iCAUR brand in South Africa,” says Shannon Gahagan, National Brand and Marketing Manager at iCAUR South Africa. “It brings together distinctive design, modern electric performance and innovation, supported by a strong standard specification, in a way that we believe will resonate with local buyers. We look forward to sharing more details closer to launch.”

We do look forward to hearing what other specific configurations one can do to personalize their V23, as we know that the vehicle is one of the few cars one can add their own paint, wheels, accessories, and all the other stuff from the factory. Further information, pricing, and confirmed local availability will be announced ahead of the V23's arrival in May 2026.
