Jaguar has unveiled its entry level SUV E Pace, a model set to take on the Audi Q2, Merc GLA, BMW X1

The 5-seat compact SUV carries the sexy design cues from Jaguar models in a spacious, practical and connected all wheel drive vehicle. This means the Jaguar distinctive grille, LED lights, lower side air intakes and LED fog lights mounted lower down the bumper.

The side profile carries a coupe like rear end with varying alloy wheel sizes (up to 21-inch) depending on model spec.

The rear retains the F Pace like design with high mounted tail lamps, a spoiler and twin exhausts aside of a body color rear valance. The E-PACE and E-PACE R-Dynamic are available with Standard, S, SE and HSE specification packs. At launch there will be a First Edition model powered only by the 132kW Diesel or 183kW Petrol (Ingenium engines) in Auto guise only.

The First Edition model is based on the R Dynamic and SE specification with 3 color options, 20inch Satin Grey Diamond Alloys. A special soft grain Windsor leather interior in Ebony with red contrast stitching and an Ebony suedecloth headlining give the cabin a distinctive appearance. Configurable ambient mood lighting and the natural light from the panoramic roof perfectly complement the spacious interior. The TFT Head-Up Display, additional charging points and loadspace rails complete the First Edition spec. Additional highlights include Configurable Dynamics, a gesture-controlled tailgate and Jaguar Activity Key, along with unique First Edition carpet mats and treadplates.

The interior size is claimed to be the best in class seating 5 in comfort and carrying up to 577-litres of boot space. Interior quality and layout is not to far off other Jaguar models with the Touch Pro Infotainment Touchscreen dominating the dash.

An optional 12.3-inch full colour digital TFT instrument panel and choice of two premium audio systems developed with Meridian for the E Pace. The E-PACE is the first Jaguar to feature the company’s next-generation Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Head-Up Display technology.
There is a choice of five Ingenium powertrains, with three diesel and two petrol engines.
