The A-Class has just received the Night Edition treatment from the brand to enhance its lineup. This Night Edition adds certain attributes to the exterior and interior over the normal vehicle for a distinctive touch to indicate that this isn't just a regular AMG Line A-Class but rather a Night Edition.

The exterior of the vehicle now gains a high-gloss black wing mirrors and detailing around the window lines, AMG-Line body styling package as standard, 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke design light-alloy wheels from the Mercedes-AMG A35 range. Standard LED rear lights and flat headlamps all topped off by an Alpine Grey finish.

Inside, the Night Edition is anchored by the freestanding dual-screen display, featuring a 10.25-inch central touchscreen that brings the latest generation of MBUX, turbine-look air vents, Nappa leather, and functional features, including a reversing camera, the Mirror Package, and the Parking Package.

For power the A-Class has a 1.3L 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol mil that outputs 120kW and 270Nm. The engine is also paired to a mild 48V hybrid system that provides an additional 10kw of shove for overtaking and smoother take-offs from a dead-stop.

"With the Night Edition, we have responded to our customers' desire for exclusivity and simplified choice," says Alexandra Boavida VP Sales and Marketing Mercedes-Benz South Africa. "By bundling the AMG-Line's athletic DNA with the mysterious allure of the Night Package, we’ve created an A-Class that is truly unique."

So then the addition of this Night Edition will mean the model variant will sit on top of the AMG Line and entry level Progressive models (Still slotting below the pocket rocket A45 S).
The Night Edition will be priced as R 889,700 and include a 5 year / 100 000km service and maintenance plan.
