The forever brewing feud between the two Germans in the form of BMW and Mercedes is alive and well. It seems like just yesterday that the Bavarians took center stage in unveiling their newest 3 Series, featuring the Neue Klasse look and expansive technology, and now Mercedes-Benz has also revealed their rivaling vehicle in the newest C-Class .

One thing is for sure and that is that these new generation sedans come with some radical styling ques that are sure to divide many. The new Class features a vintage-inspired grille with a modern twist. The grille that we first saw in the all electric EQ GLC that does all kinds of cool things liken illuminate thanks to 1,050 fitted illuminated pixels is fitted on here, and some aerodynamic 18 to 20 inch wheels to finish off the exterior look of the vehicle.

The lights also experience a change, as we see these LED headlights that feature the three-pointed star logo within them, first seen in the likes of the updated S and E-Class sedans from the brand. Here, we learn that this car grows in wheelbase by 97 millimeters in its fully electric guise, which is said to have improved roominess on the inside, the overall length of the vehicle is said to have grown to 2,962 millimeters.

The rear of the C-Class now takes on a sportback slope, kind of like a CLA, which Merc claims "is a statement for a new sporty driving experience, " a nod to the fact that the new C-Class might be more than just a luxury saloon but more of a driver's tool. At the rear, you will have these new four round taillights encased in a black strip, which again, of course, should have the three-pointed star logo integrated - a look that was first seen in the CONCEPT AMG GT XX.

The interior features screens, or rather one huge screen that measures 39.1 inches, combining infotainment, driver display, and passenger entertainment sections . This screen supports the 4th-gen MBUX system, which consists of AI from Microsoft, Google, and ChatGPT, all aimed at making the interior experience between the driver and car more engaging and not just bland. The interior also offers a selection of vegan- friendly leather, a large panoramic roof, improved interior storage compartments, and luggage space ( boot and frunk ).

At launch, this is the full electric variant of the C-Class, and we will be sure to get a regular ICE variant soon. But for now, let us take a look at what electric wizardry has gone into the vehicle. The car will be powered by a dual-motor setup that will be sourced from a lithium-ion battery pack offering a net capacity of 94.5 kWh. This will output 360 kW and 800 Nm, which means the car will go from 0 to 100 km /h in just 4.1 seconds and provide a fully charged driving range of around 762 km.

Speaking of charging, the 800-volt MBEA architecture built C-Class will support 321 km in just 10 minutes when using a D/C fast charger at the preferred rate of 330 kW . Although seemingly aligned with a new, more driver-oriented theme, the Mercedes-Benz is said to still deliver high levels of ride comfort, thanks to adaptive air suspension (optional) with predictive damping that scans the road ahead using Google Maps data and cloud-based real-time inputs, preparing the suspension for upcoming imperfections. For improved maneuvering, the vehicle is also available with rear steering, which helps reduce your turning circle in tight spaces or provides added stability when pushing the car to its limits on the open road.

"The C-Class has always been one of Mercedes‑Benz’s best-selling and most popular model series – a success story defined by innovation. Now Mercedes‑Benz is once again taking the lead and redefining the segment with the first all-new electric C‑Class. It is fascinatingly different and yet reassuringly familiar – a true C‑Class"
