2026 is an exciting year for most brands like Mercedes Benz who have recently tapped into two new values, one being a new design language that will span across the range starting with the CLA (expected to launch in Mzansi soon) and the adoption of new energy vehicles with their latest being the GLC.

But before we see these two new entrants come in, the local Benz family has now given South Africans a new GLA option called the “Night Edition” and this is what it gets you.

For starters the GLA Night Edition will feature a MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey finish, a bespoke AMG wheels, gloss-black accents on the wing mirrors, window surrounds, and roof rails, creating a seamless, darkened silhouette.

Also important to note is that this edition is standard in AMG-Line body styling, which can be seen through power bulges on the bonnet and a radiator grille featuring the Mercedes-Benz star pattern. Some more standard equipment will feature LED headlamps and a sporty rear diffuser with LED taillights.

The interior will be still as posh and nice to be in as ever will the onboard nicities such asa 10.25-inch central display-running the latest MBUX software, turbine-look air vents, and Nappa leather steering wheel and a redesigned centre console which will keep one happy to look and touch around the interior.

Mercedes-Benz alsoincluded safety features as standard on this edition, such as the Parking Package with reversing camera, lumbar support seats, and the Mirror Package.

The GLA 200 Night Edition is powered by a refined engine producing 120kW and 270Nm of torque.
