Mitsubishi motors aims to end off the year with a bang, as the automaker unveils its latest creation – meet the new XPANDER CROSS crossover MPV.

Visually, the XPANDER features the maker’s latest design direction that has been initially adopted by Mitsubishi’s latest SUV models. The front end gains the maker’s trademark Dynamic Shield design with the protective lower bumper ‘skid plate’ design said to further emphasize an SUV image. Bumper integrated LED fog lamps, wide wheel arches, door garnishes and silver coloured roof rails add a more stylish look. The rear is dominated by a piano black tailgate garnish underneath the rear window with a larger skid plate on the lower part of the bumper enhancing the active look.

The new XPANDER provides enough space for 7-passengers along with a tumbling system for folding the 2nd row seats for easy access to the 3rd row seats. Comfort and convenience features include tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, cruise control, air-conditioning and a high contrast colour instrument cluster.

Power for the XPANDER CROSS is provided by a 1.5-liter petrol engine with auto and manual transmission options.

The new XPANDER CROSS will be built in Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia, with sales already under way. Mzansi availability is yet to be confirmed. Stay tuned.
