This sixth generation of the new Renault Clio has been revealed at the 2025 Munich Autoshow and it boasts a completely new, distinctive style that reflects the brand's modern approach to design. It now features a longer bonnet, sharper lines and edges, a wheelbase increased to 2.59m, and what the brand calls a highly dynamic roofline similar to that of an "ultra-compact coupé.

The front is reworked and features a prominent radiator grille decorated with diamond patterns, accompanied by a new C-shaped light signature. The large daytime running lights recall the diamond of the Renault logo. The wheel arches have black cladding fitted on every model in the range and some stylish 18-inch alloys.

The rear is accentuated by new singular quad taillights, a shark fin antenna, and finished with an integrated spoiler. A range of seven body colors is available on the new Renault Clio, two of which are new - Absolute Red (including a colored varnish) and Absolute Green. The other colors include Glacier White, Ceramic Grey, Shadow Grey, Diamond Black, and Iron Blue.

Inside the vehicle, you will find a driver-focused double 10.1-inch V-shaped screen with the OpenR Link multimedia system and Google built-in. The interior also features a variety of materials and surfaces, as the passenger side is covered in textile trim. There is a significant use of recycled materials, colored topstitching (depending on the trim), and the cabin ambient lighting sets the mood with over 48 colors to choose from.

The new Renault Clio interior also has two USB-C sockets at the front, an induction charger (depending on the trim), and a 12V socket in the back to easily plug in a USB adapter or a cool box, for example. Boot space measures at up to 391 litre.

The car is also set to feature 29 cutting-edge advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

The car is built on the CMF-B platform, meaning Renault's engineers have upped their game to provide comfort and segment-leading dynamic handling. Beyond its highly aesthetic look, it benefits from many functional features. For example, the number of times the steering wheel needs to turn from lock to lock has been reduced from 3.3 to 2.6, resulting in a more agile driving experience.

The new Clio will feature a new 1.8 litre Atkinson-cycle 4-cylinder full hybrid E-Tech 160hp powertrain, which the brand claims gives a combined fuel consumption figure of just 3.9 litres/100 km. The new Clio full hybrid E-Tech will have 119kw can drive in electric mode for up to 80% of the time in and around cities, and 1,000 km on motorways.

The entry-level new Renault Clio comes with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder TCe engine delivering 85 kW, growing in power over the previous generation. It is available with a manual gearbox or a six-speed EDC dual-clutch automatic box with steering-wheel paddles. A 89kw 3-cylinder dual-fuel (petrol and LPG) Eco-G version with an EDC automatic box is also set to be available.

Pricing, availability, and specifications were not disclosed but should be communicated in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, we will keep our eyes and ears peeled for more.
