The Renault Duster SUV model has proved to be a success within the car market since its initial introduction locally in 2013 with its authentic SUV theme – Tough, spacious and robust. Renault Mzansi has updated the popular model. The updated Renault Duster range assumes the latest nomenclature to denote the range walk with LIFE representing the entry spec, ZEN the mid spec and INTENS the highest model spec.

There is a new chrome trim for the grille, alongside a raised waistline and the newly updated C-shaped front and LED rear light signature with Daytime Running Lights complete the stance of the Duster. The front skid plate is retained for that SUV off road look.

The Duster’s tough stance is emphasized by its bold, more horizontal lines, and newly designed 17” Diamond Cut wheels ensuring a more assertive profile, striking silver roof rails. An array of body colours has been introduced to complement the enhanced exterior styling, namely Comet Grey, Highland Grey, Iron Blue, Brown Vision, Fusion Red, a fabulous Arizona Orange and Ice White. The updated Renault Duster is certainly built to harness the spirit of adventure, with impressive off-road capabilities evident by the class-leading ground clearance of 210mm, and noteworthy approach and departure angles of 30° high approach and 34° departure angles respectively, deeming it suitable for all terrain driving.

The updated Duster continues inside with the large infotainment screen (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) with Bluetooth connectivity, Navigation. The modular interior layout adapts easily to the owners needs, with the rear bench seat featuring a 1/3 – 2/3 split-fold function, while the boot boasts best-in-class loading capacity of up to 478L. Features like Automatic Climate Control, Speed Limiter and Cruise Control functions provide excellent driving support on the open road. Hill Start Assist, multi airbags, ABS, Parking Sensors with reversing camera are part of the safety features.

With the Duster Turbodiesel 1.5 dCi 4×2’s engine has outputs of 66kW and 210Nm and consumes from only 5.1L/100km. The 4×2 EDC and 4×4 Manual versions have outputs of 80kW and 250Nm & 260Nm respectively, with impressive consumption from only 4.8L/100km, a major plus in these times.
