Renault has introduced one of their popular vehicles just before the festive season, and they reckon that this car is much better in the facelift. Since its global introduction, it has sold 120,000 units-28,000 locally.
One important thing to note is that they have fairly refreshed the range in the looks department ; the features list and even the lineup naming strategy have changed. At the launch, we were introduced to the naturally aspirated vehicles and were told that the turbo variants would be launched in early 2026. So, if you are eagerly awaiting the new turbocharged Kiger, you best wait until next year.
To recap on the aesthetic changes, the front fascia gets a more straight and muscular sculpted appearance that features new sleeker daytime running lights, tri-octa pure vision LED lights, and some new LED fog lights.
The side profile boasts a new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheel design for the turbo, and these hexagonal dual-tone rims for the N/A models. There is black wheel arch cladding, while the car has a 205 mm ground clearance rate.
The rear consists of the signature C-shaped LED taillights, and some new additions are the revised badge and the new lower skid plates. The car also gains new colors, including a new silver palette to pick from.
Step into the interior, and like the rear of the car, it's largely unchanged but gains some needed additions like dual-tone color seats, wireless charging, rain-sensing wipers, and a multi-view camera (dependent on chosen spec).
It is good to know that there still no compromise on safety as the Kiger will host a fleet of 21 standard features to keep you and yours safe all the way: 6 airbags, ESP, TPMS and hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, follow me home headlamps, impact sensing door unlock-lock, isofix just to name a few of the standard feature list.
The engine that the N/A Kiger will use is a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 52kW/96Nm which is mated to a five-speed manual or a Easy-R automated manual.
