Renault has introduced a rather stylish version of its budget friendly KWID compact hatchback in Mzansi – meet the new KWID ULTRA LTD.
Setting the KWID ULTRA LTD apart from standard models are a host of exterior, interior and intuitive features that should appeal to a more youthful audience. Unique exterior styling includes SUV styled headlamps with silver streak LED DRL’s, and tail lamps with LED light guides. New 14” diamond cut black aluminium alloys and a bi-tone color finish adds to the KWID’s modern look.
The modernised interior receives new chrome finishes, sporty seats with revised fabrics, a piano black centre fascia and meter cluster with sporty graphics. Improved standard feature list includes standard aircon, electric front and rear windows and electrical adjustable door mirrors, whilst intuitive feature list has also been expanded. The KWID ULTRA also comes equipped with a new MediaNav® /multi-media system complete with a larger 8” touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, radio and Bluetooth® connectivity. Also on the cards is an optional reverse camera and park distance sensors.
The engine bay remains untouched, with the KWID ULTRA LTD slotting the same 50kW/91Nm 1.0litre 3-potter offered across the range. This unit delivers shove to the front wheels via a choice between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission.

The Renault KWID model range comes standard with a 1 Year Comprehensive Insurance Cover, a 2 Year Service Plan, and a 5-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000km intervals.
