The Land Rover Discovery has received some design, technological and mechanical touch-ups set to improve the family SUV’s standing within the SUV segment.

Exterior revisions come in the form of new LED headlights with daytime running lights, revised front bumper with a wider body-coloured graphic and new side vents. The rear gains new LED lights that are joined across the back of vehicle by a new Gloss Black panel.

Interior updates include a redesigned centre console housing a 11.4-inch, full HD touchscreen running the maker’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system. New four-spoke multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifts and a new gear selector provide a new atmosphere whilst comfort and convenience is catered for by new Click and Go tablet holders in the front seatbacks with USB-A charging sockets. An on-board 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capable of linking up to eight devices completes the updates list.

The updated Discovery also gains a new R-Dynamic trim level that features a series of unique design elements that include Gloss Black and Shadow Atlas exterior accents on the outside and two-tone leather and contrast seat stitching on the inside.

Two new straight-six Ingenium powertrains have also joined the line-up, these include the P360 model powered by a 265kW/500Nm 3.0litre 6-cylinder petrol engine and the D300 featuring a new 221kW/650Nm 3.0litre 6-cylinder diesel unit.
